The world wide phenomenon is back as Player 456 returns to end the game in the Squid Game Season 2 full trailer. So far Netflix has released quite a few teasers for one of it’s biggest shows returns, but here is the full new trailer.
Squid Game Season 2 sees Lee Jung-jae returns as Player 456 who survived in Season 1 of the show. However, Seong Gi-hun is determined to re-enter the game to stop those running it. He’s after revenge, check out the official synopsis below and the poster.
“Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”

“It’s been almost three years since Season 1 was met with incredible response around the world and many unimaginable events took place,” said creator Hwang Dong-hyuk. “On the first day we began shooting Season 2, I remember thinking, ‘Wow, I can’t believe I’m back in the world of Squid Game.’ It almost felt surreal. I wonder how it will feel for you to be back in Squid Game after three years as well.”
“Seong Gi-hun who vowed revenge at the end of Season 1 returns and joins the game again. Will he succeed in getting his revenge? Front Man doesn’t seem to be an easy opponent this time either. The fierce clash between their two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year. I am thrilled to see that the seed that was planted in creating a new Squid Game grow and bear fruit through the end of this story. We’ll do our best to make sure we bring you yet another thrill ride.”
Squid Game Season 2 arrives on December 26, with a third and final season also in development. Can Season 2 capture the same buzz that the original series did? I guess we will find out soon.
