Poster And Stills Released For John Ridley’s Needle In A Timestack

Needle in a Timestack

A soulmate is defined as “a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner”. Some people spend their whole lives looking for the right person. Some claim to have found them. How far would you go to be with someone who you believed was your soulmate? This is a theme that is explored in John Ridley’s new feature film, Needle in a Timestack from Lionsgate.

This film is based on a short story by Robert Silverberg. In Needle in a Timestack, a character attempts to wrap time to try and get his supposed happily ever after. Today Lionsgate has released the official poster and stills from the upcoming feature. You can see them below!

Here is the synopsis for Needle in a Timestack:

If love is in the form of a circle, what lines would you cross to be with your soulmate? In this gripping, near-future love story directed by Oscar® winner John Ridley, Nick and Janine (Oscar® nominees Leslie Odom, Jr. and Cynthia Erivo) live in marital bliss, until Janine’s ex-husband (Orlando Bloom) warps time to try to tear them apart using Nick’s college girlfriend (Frieda Pinto). As Nick’s memories and reality disappear, he must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in order to hold onto — or let go of — everything he loves. Can love endure in a future where time is fluid, and all of life may be just an illusion?

Based on some of the titles that John Ridley has been associated with in the past, I am very intrigued by this project. The idea of manipulating circumstances to be with someone almost seems sinister. I am looking forward to seeing how this is conveyed on screen. It looks like we arn’t going to have to wait too long as it will make its limited theatrical release on October 15th, 2021. As well on Digital and On Demand. Then the film will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 19th, 2021.
