Young British actor Will Poulter, best known for his work in We’re The Millers, has signed on to star in the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Revenant. According to Variety, the production- which has been in development for quite some time- is finally inching closer to starting. Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu is on board to direct the film, which will be based on the Michael Punke novel.

The story centers on a frontiersman from the 1820s on a quest for revenge after being left for dead when he was mauled by a bear. Iñárritu and Mark L. Smith (Vacancy) wrote the script.

Rumored to be joining DiCaprio and Poulter in the film is Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises), which would definitely spice things up since Hardy’s star is quickly on the rise. Poulter’s star is also moving on up, ever since Millers became a surprise hit. His work in the upcoming The Maze Runner is also drawing attention, as that filmis gaining substantial buzz.

Production for The Revenant is said to begin this fall.
