“ROGUE: THE SAVAGE LAND,” a new five-issue limited series, is set to bring back one of the most iconic chapters of Rogue’s X-Men history. Announced by Polygon, the series will be written by Tim Seeley (“Venom War: Wolverine”) and feature the artwork of Marvel newcomer and Art Atelier winner, Zulema Lavina, making her debut.
“ROGUE: THE SAVAGE LAND” takes readers back to the unforgettable events of Uncanny X-Men #269, #274, and #275, where Rogue embarked on an intense adventure in the Savage Land, forged a fiery romance with Magneto, and donned her now-iconic Savage Land attire. These pivotal moments in Rogue’s history will now be fully explored, giving fans the complete story they’ve been waiting for.

The series will see Rogue navigating the perils of the Savage Land, a prehistoric and untamed wilderness where danger lurks around every corner. This time, she’s without her mutant powers and must rely on her wits and survival skills as war brews on the horizon. Not only will Rogue face off against dinosaurs and mutants, but she’ll also contend with the enigmatic and powerful Magneto, all while forging an alliance with Ka-Zar, the jungle hero of the Savage Land.
“In these five issues, I get to utilize my love for 80s X-Men, Jim Lee, Chris Claremont, Zabu, scantily clad heroines (and heroes!), and probably most importantly: DINOSAURS,” Seeley told Polygon. “With Zulema Lavina bringing her unique style to the series, we’re going to offer something fresh while paying homage to the classic, sexy, and epic tale of a young Rogue, Magneto, and Ka-Zar.”
Zulema Lavina’s art will be a highlight of the series, as her dynamic style brings the Savage Land and its wild inhabitants to life. Alongside her, fans can also look forward to a breathtaking cover by Kaare Andrews and a variant by Russell Dauterman.
