Prequel era starships coming to The Mandalorian? That’s the latest rumor from the folks over at MSW. According to the outlet, they have two pieces of information about prequal era starships. The first seems a more obvious one, Slave 1.
The ship of Jango, and then Boba Fett would be expected to appear if Fett himself returns. Well according to MSW the cockpit set of Slave 1 was built, they say for Season 2 of The Mandalorian. If true that would indicate we will see Boba Fett again before the end of Season 2. However, they also say this set is being preserved for Season 3. They could be getting their wires crossed with the upcoming Fett mini-series? However, I suspected myself that Fett could be a player in Season 3, so maybe both? I’m more surprised that Fett shows up again this Season potentially which I did not think would happen..
The second ship is the N-1 Naboo Starfighter, which they say is set to appear in The Mandalorian Season 3. If true this could indicate that Naboo itself features in Season 3. However, it’s also quite possible that one of those ships is just elsewhere. Naboo is kinda in the lawless Outer Rim, but are also a technologically advanced member of the Senate. There’s no reason to think Naboo were even a part of the Rebellion against the Empire. Given that a Naboo citizen was the Emperor of the Galaxy, one would guess which way Naboo went. That’s pure guess work from me though.

Truthfully there are a hundred ways a Naboo ship could appear, but the outlet also makes reference to some Naboo speeders and that has got fans speculating. From what I can gather, fans seem pretty eager to explore some of those PT era planets again. Personally Naboo might have been cool looking, but it was also boring. I kinda prefer how The Mandalorian takes the audience into the ack of beyond, where there is less Empire and less New Republic. Yet, things will all depend on how the story of The Mandalorian shapes up.
