Prime Video has officially released the trailer and first-look images for Citadel: Diana, the latest installment in the expansive Citadel universe. This Italian spy thriller, starring Matilda De Angelis (The Undoing), is set to debut globally on October 10, exclusively on Prime Video.
Produced by Cattleya (part of ITV Studios) and Amazon MGM Studios, Citadel: Diana looks to deliver intense action, captivating espionage, and a storyline that will pull viewers into the dangerous world of international spies. The series is executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, with Anthony and Joe Russo playing a key role in developing the Citadel universe following the success of the original Citadel series, which became one of Prime Video’s top hits in 2023.
Citadel: Diana is the second show to emerge from the Citadel universe, following the global success of the original series, which starred Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. With a distinct local flavor, Citadel: Diana brings together an international cast and highlights Italy’s unique culture within a global spy network.
Set in Milan in 2030, the story follows Diana Cavalieri, portrayed by Matilda De Angelis, a deep-cover agent for Citadel who finds herself trapped within the enemy organization Manticore. Her path to freedom forces her to rely on an unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir to Manticore Italy. The plot thickens with power struggles, hidden agendas, and the constant threat of exposure, as Diana navigates a treacherous world of espionage and survival.

The six-episode series is directed by Arnaldo Catinari and written by Alessandro Fabbri alongside a talented team that includes Ilaria Bernardini, Gianluca Bernardini, and Laura Colella.
