Lan Mandragoran is one of the best characters in The Wheel of Time series. He is loyal and committed to Moiraine Damodred and uses his unique fighting skills with a katana. There’s no doubt actor Daniel Henney pushes the boundaries further in season two in character development and stunts.

In season two, Lan Mandragoran is again tasked with protecting Moiraine Damodred. For Moiraine, she looks elsewhere on her quest and pushes Lan for a different adventure. Light and darkness will collide once again.

Henney is back alongside Rosamund Pike for season two, incorporating the storytelling from Robert Jordan’s second book and some aspects from the third novel. The rest of the cast also includes Josha Stradowski (Gran Turismo), Zoë Robins (Power Rangers Ninja Steel), Madeleine Madden (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Marcus Rutherford (Obey), Dónal Finn (Rogue Heroes), and Ceara Coveney (Young Wallander).

Based on the best-selling Robert Jordan fantasy series “The Wheel of Time,” Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski) learns he is The Dragon Reborn—a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world…or break it. Desperate to protect him from the Dark One, an army of powerful women must reckon with his burgeoning power and encroaching madness. The Wheel of Time turns, and the Last Battle approaches. Though Rand thought he destroyed the Dark One, evil is not gone from the world. In season two, threats new and very old seek out the young friends from the Two Rivers, now scattered over the world. The woman who found and guided them is now powerless to help, and so they must find other sources of strength. In each other, or themselves. In the Light…or the Dark.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with actor Daniel Henney on his character’s relationship with Moiraine Damodred in season two and his training for fights and stunts.

Daniel Henney made his television debut as Dr. Henry Kim on the Korean drama My Lovely Sam. He starred in many films that including Seducing Mr. Perfect, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Shanghai Calling, The Last Stand, and Big Hero 6. Also, he appeared in the US television series Hawaii Five-0 and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. He joined the regular cast of Criminals for the 13^th, 14^th, and 15^th seasons.

Season two of The Wheel of Time streams on Prime Video starting tomorrow, September 1.
