This February comes a new action-thriller from Lionsgate titled, Pursuit. Hackers are an important part of many kinds of nefarious acts that we see in films. They can get sensitive information that can be used to gain leverage in a variety of situations. But being a hacker comes with it’s own set of dangers. In many cases, they can end up knowing too much. Despite reputation criminal employers can get nervous and find it easier to just dispose of them. Or they can kidnap them to learn more about some of their adversaries.

As you can see there is a lot going around surrounding this Hacker in Pursuit. Even an added layer of mystery surrounding the intentions of his criminal father. The question is who will get to him first? You can find out the answers to those questions in select theaters and On Demand on February 18th, 2022.

Here is the synopsis for Pursuit provided by Lionsgate

John Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank) and Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) star in this action thriller about a tough cop’s hunt for an even tougher criminal. Detective Breslin crosses paths with Calloway (Hirsch), a ruthless hacker desperate to find his wife, who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. When Calloway escapes police custody, Breslin joins forces with a no-nonsense female cop to reclaim his prisoner. But is Calloway’s crime-boss father (Cusack) somehow involved in this explosive situation?

Pursuit stars Emile Hirsch, Jake Manley, Elizabeth Ludlow, and John Cusack. It’s directed by Brian Skiba. He also serves as a writer along with Andrew Stevens, Dawn Bursteen, and Ben Fiore.

Lionsgate‘s Pursuit will be in select theaters and On Demand on February 18th, 2022.
