Qui-Gon Appearance In Obi-Wan Kenobi Teased In New Star Wars Book?

Could a new Star Wars book be hinting at a Qui-Gon appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi? Well, when I say appearance I guess I mean voice only. However, I certainly would love to hear a conversation between Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan and I’m sure many fans agree. Well, according to a new book called Skywalker: Family at War from Kristin Baver, Obi-Wan learned to communicate with Qui-Gon around ten years after Revenge of the Sith. You can see an excerpt from the book below thanks to r/starwarsleaks on Reddit.

We also recently found out that Obi-Wan Kenobi is set around ten years after Revenge of the Sith. Coincidence, or planning? I know some fans pointed to a previous book called Star Wars: Ahsoka. In that book set only a year post-Sith, Obi-Wan first heard the voice of Qui-Gon. However as some fans on the subreddit pointed out, communication usually means two-way. Therefore it could have taken Kenobi another nine years to learn how to truly converse with Jinn.

Honestly, think I would feel a little cheated if we don’t at least have a few scenes of Obi-Wan chatting with Qui Gon through the Force. We know that Liam Neeson has not been contacted about an Obi-Wan Kenobi appearance, or so he says. However, given that this would probably end up being a day of voice work, I’m sure Neeson would be willing. Perhaps they’ve even sounded him out and he’s just not telling the fanbase about it for obvious reasons.

This is all circumstantial evidence, but if we hear any real gossip about Qui-Gon’s return we will let you know. In the meantime are you hoping for a Qui-Gon appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi like me? Do you think this book excerpt is coincidence or planning? As always, leave any thoughts below.
