Now here is a new Star Wars rumors I hope is true. The latest from MSW and backed up by Bespin Bulletin is Qui-Gon rumored to show up in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now this is something we heard might not be happening, but so long ago now, that we absolutely hoped things would change. According to MSW they are hearing that Qui-Gon Jinn will make an appearance in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which I’ve always wanted to see. According to the insiders they don’t yet have information about whether Qui-Gon, and by proxy actor Liam Neeson, will appear as a voice only, or be an actual Force Ghost?
However Bespin Bulletin also backed up this claim by MSW. Though again, they admitted they don’t have the full information. BB do however seem to be siding more on the Force Ghost side of the equation. Of course that would mean Neeson would have had to come in for a day of filming at some point, which is not unreasonable. After all, it is hardly likely to be a large role, given the character is very much dead.
MSW came out with the scoop initially on an episode of Star Wars Santa. The video is below, and you can skip to 35 minutes in if you want to jump straight to the Qui-Gon information.

Here is what BB added in the article linked in the second paragraph.
My personal belief based on a singular source is that the appearance is physical, meaning Qui-Gon Jinn would be seen as a force ghost at some point during the limited series, and not just a disembodied voice us fans previously heard in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
What Qui-Gon says and does, I do not know. As I mentioned above, the information came from a singular source and I was waiting for more information before reporting on anything that I’d heard. Though an appearance from Qui-Gon Jinn seems obvious, it’s still an exciting development in my opinion.
Very interesting. I personally would not mind if all we got was a conversation through the Force. Hearing the voice only would work for me. However if Kenobi were perhaps meditating at the time and in some sort of trance? I could see him visually seeing Qui-Gon, which would be pretty cool. Qui-Gon is the Master of both Obi-Wan and Yoda in that time period. I guess I just feel that we should see some interaction between them. I am therefore so happy this rumor has come out and I hope 100% it all checks out when we watch the show.
What do you think of Qui-Gon rumored to show up in Obi-Wan Kenobi? Thoughts below as always.
