Rambo: Last Blood Gets R Rating

I never had a doubt in my mind that Rambo: Last Blood would be getting an R rating. Even back when long-running franchises were getting PG-13 makeovers (in the 2000s), John Rambo went hard R, with children’s entrails being splayed all over the camera and dudes straight-up getting sliced in half.

Between that and the gritty-looking trailers we’ve seen from Rambo: Last Blood so far, they didn’t seem to be pulling back in any way. But if there ever was a doubt they’d be going R here…allow me to assuage your concerns. Here is the confirmation according to FilmRatings.com.

“Rated R for strong graphic violence, grisly images, drug use and language.”

That’s right. “Strong graphic violence” and “grisly images.” You can’t have a Rambo movie without those two things. Sure, these things may be the very reason he suffers from hardcore PTSD and eternal survivor’s guilt, but they are staples of the series, so it’s nice to know they’re still here.

How do you feel about this movie getting an R rating? Can a movie like Rambo: Last Blood actually perform in today’s climate? Let us know down below!
