Welcome to THE NEW AND IMPROVED LRM Ranks It! This is the video feature where two LRM writers share their personal rankings for various properties! Be it comic book movies or Star Wars-related, you’d better believe we have opinions on what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s best.
Edgar Wright doesn’t have an extensive filmography, but he has one hell of a track record in making good movies. This week Nick Doll explores the worlds Wright has created and played in and puts the films in order of great to greatest!
Edgar Wright’s most famous for his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy which included Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End. These movies blend independent filmmaking and big ideas in a unique and very British way. He also directed Baby Driver and Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. The filmmaker has a good eye for action and a great voice for comedy. That may have been what caught the attention of Marvel Studios when he was asked to direct Ant-Man, but things didn’t work out and someone else brought us the bug-sized hero. That doesn’t mean he’s not a busy man, besides helping other people’s projects he is set to direct another horror film titled Last Night In Soho starring Anya Taylor-Joy (Glass) and Matt Smith (Doctor Who).
