The Rhythm of War audiobook is done.

The Rhythm of War book has hit another milestone. That’s right. The 450,000+ word tome from Brandon Sanderson continues to chug along the production process. Today, we are talking about the audiobook, which is narrated by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, who have narrated the first three books in the epic fantasy series. The actual update of the production came from them, and is, in fact, the latest of a series of updates they gave on the book’s recording throughout the process.

Following a series of near-daily posts giving readers a page count update along with a relevant photo, they capped it all off with a post that summarized the entire process. The duo took to Facebook to give us a rundown of the work they put into the fourth Stormlight Archive book.

That’s right. They managed to churn out this book in eighteen short days. Eighteen short days to execute 1220 pages of text. The total runtime of the book is roughly 55 hours, which puts it on par with the 55-hour and five-minute runtime of Oathbringer. However, it is not clear whether or not the audiobook is actually edited together just yet.

Regardless, we do know that Rhythm of War is a tad longer than Oathbringer. Where that latter book clocked in at 462,000 words in length, Rhythm of War is 470,000 words. So, regardless of the length of the audiobook, the quantity we are getting as readers is still very very high.

Kudos to Kramer and Reading for managing to get this mammoth of a story done in less than three weeks’ time. I very much respect their blue-collar process and mentality to taking this project down. Hopefully, the Rhythm of War story and audiobook live up to the book’s epic length.
