I must admit I always figured we’d see Riri Williams show up before her own Ironheart show. Well, Riri Williams to debut in Wakanda Forever is the latest rumor about the successor to Tony Stark. This one comes from KC Walsh of The GWW, though as he points out, The Illuminerdi have been hinting at something in this wheelhouse already.

Given the connections to Tony Stark, I always thought it made a lot of sense for Armor Wars to be where we meet Riri and then the events of that show head towards her proper introduction as the MCU’s Ironheart. However perhaps Riri is not involved in Armor Wars at all? Wakanda Forever is certainly introducing it’s fair share of characters. For a start, who will replace T’Challa as the new Black Panther? Then we have rumors, which I think are legit, that say Namor and Atlantis will appear.

I’d never have tipped Williams to appear in the Black Panther sequel, but here we are. In the comics, Riri has no connection I recall to Wakanda specifically, but then who knows what the overall plot of Wakanda Forever actually is? Sure, Atalantis and Namor, but what exactly are they gonna be doing? I feel like we need some sort of catalyst, or a villain to bring all this together. Maybe it’s a good thing that I find Black Panther: Wakanda Forever the toughest Marvel movie to speculate on? I felt like both Black Widow and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier were methodically predictable plot wise, despite kinda enjoying both. Whereas with WandaVision and Loki I was intrigued and letting my imagination run wild with every new episode.

Wakanda Forever is shaping up to very interesting if this rumor checks out. For now though, just remember this is just a Barside Buzz. Are you excited for Riri Williams to debut in Wakanda Forever if this checks out? Sound off below.
