Netflix’s live action superhero series that is based on Dark Horse’s comic book series by Gerard Way and artist Gabriel Ba, Umbrella Academy will be returning to the streaming service for a second season. Returning to the series to reprise their roles will be Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aiden Gallagher and Justin H. Min.

Thanks to Netflix we have learned that joining the cast of the series will be Ritu Arya, Yusuf Gatewood and Marin Ireland. Here are they character descriptions that were provided to us:

Ritu Arya (Humans) has been cast as LILA, a chameleon who can be as brilliant or as clinically insane as the situation requires. Unpredictable, mischievous and sarcastic, Lila’s gifted with a twisted sense of humor.

Yusuf Gatewood (Good Omens) will play RAYMOND, a born leader with the smarts, gravitas, and the confidence to never have to prove it to anyone. He is warm, dedicated and has the innate ability to disarm you with a look. A devoted husband, he’s the kind of guy everyone wants to know.

Marin Ireland (Y: The Last Man) will be playing SISSY, a fearless, no-nonsense Texas mom who married young for all the wrong reasons. Still in her prime, she’s eager to rediscover what life and love has to offer.

Umbrella Academy follows the life of seven adopted children that were adopted by a billionaire who were part of forty three total infants that were inexplicably born to random, unconnected women that did not show any signs of pregnancy the day before. The seven children become members of The Umbrella Academy, who are supposedly being prepared to save the world. After the passing of their father, the remaining have to work together to to solve the mystery surrounding his death.

Umbrella Academy was created by Steve Blackman for television an he also serves as showrunner and executive producer along with Jeff F. King, Keith Goldberg, Mike Richardson, Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions for Netflix.
