Sylvester Stallone is no stranger to returning to the well, so to speak. In addition to creating a ton of sequels to his Rocky and Rambo films, both went on hiatus for a while before returning in the mid-2000s, and both have returned yet again, with Rocky Balboa popping up as a key character in the Creed franchise and Rambo headlining his final movie in Last Blood.

But what about another one of his movies…more specifically, his cop action flick Cobra? It’s ridiculous, it’s silly, it takes itself way too seriously…but it’s still good fun. Well, it sounds like it could be coming back, as Stallone himself told Fandango.

“I’m talking with Robert Rodriguez right now about Cobra, which looks like that could happen. It’s basically his baby now.”

There were no details on the how, but Robert Rodriguez does run his own El Rey Network. In the past, he even dug into his own franchise with From Dusk Till Dawn to create the TV series, so perhaps we can see this one get a similar facelift.
