Cresata is bringing back the fan-favorite 2D/3D side-scrolling video games popularized by Castlevania and Metroid of the 1980s.
This soon-to-be-published video game from Rocket Panda Games is a fantasy-adventure game featuring a knight battling monsters in dungeons and castles.
At Anime Expo 2026, Rocket Panda Games set up demos for fans to preview its gameplay on the exhibit floor.
Also, the video game publisher announced the voice actors lending their talents to the game, including Aleks Le (Solo Leveling, Street Fighter 6) and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), at a panel.
The player will control Phaedon in this fast-paced action-combat game, wielding the Crescent Claw, which strikes in any direction. The character can swing and grapple onto walls and slopes as he embarks on his quest for revenge.
Here is the storyline description:
Following a treacherous rebellion, Phaedon of Arsica is imprisoned and left for dead. Freed by a twist of fate, he now hunts down those who betrayed him and his homeland. He must stop them before they complete their misbegotten quest to reclaim and ancient power source, kept within the ruins of a cursed metropolis.
LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with the founder and CEO of Rocket Panda Games, Mikey McNamara, on the exhibit floor about its upcoming video game, Cresata. We discussed the details of the video game, from the original story and characters to its release date.
Creseta will be released in 2027. Players can wish list the game on Steam and follow the upcoming Kickstarter campaign to begin later this year.
