Rogue Squadron IS Still Happening According To New Report

Director Patty Jenkins says she's still writing Rogue Squadron and she owes Disney a submitted script.

According to a new report Rogue Squadron is still happening. There had been rumors that movie may never happened after it was revealed the movie had been delayed. There were some reports of creative differences on the movie, but I think that can be a lame excuse at times. We here at LRM had heard slightly different. We had heard the movie was facing a few technical challenges and the delays were to enable the movie to match the scope everyone had. Of course, no one can ever truly say what goes on at the highest level of thee productions. Not many (none) leakers will have access to Kathleen Kennedy or Patty Jenkins for example.

In a new report about Cleopatra by Cinemablend, it was stated that Rogue Squadron is still coming and from Patty Jenkins. Jenkins is no longer directing Cleopatra, that will now be helmed by Kari Skogland of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, with Jenkins now producing. The report says this is to enable Jenkins to focus on both WW3 and Rogue Squadron. Originally Rogue Squadron was supposed to be Jenkins next movie. However with the delays, who knows for sure which will come first of these two big franchise projects?

As per the report:

It’s also great news to hear that Jenkins will have more time to focus on Rogue Squadron. There had been fear recently that this movie was having significant problems, and it’s fate had been in question. It seems rumors of its demise had been exaggerated, as Patty Jenkins is still working on the movie.

What do you think of the news Rogue Squadron IS still happening from Patty Jenkins. What do you think of Skogland getting the Cleopatra gig? As always, leave any thoughts you ahve below.
