RUMOR: Birds Of Prey May Shoot As Early As January 2019

Warner Bros. is never one for staying down for long. Sure, Justice League may have been a disappointment of gargantuan proportions in terms of its box-office haul, but they’re still trudging forth with their shared universe anyway, for better or worse.

Currently on their slate of films are Aquaman, Shazam!, and Wonder Woman 1984, all of which are either in post-production or production. But what is there to look forward to beyond that? According to a new report from Discussing Film, Birds of Prey may be the next big film to hit sooner rather than later.

The outlet sent out a tweet, stating that the studio is eyeing a January 2019 production start date for the film, which could hint at an early 2020 release date. Given all we’ve heard about this film in months past, this isn’t too much of a surprise, as there was a lot of reported enthusiasm for the script from Christina Hodson.

This claim is corroborated by Omega Underground, who states that the studio is possibly checking out locations to shoot in Atlanta/Savannah, Georgia and Los Angeles, California, though nothing has been confirmed. It does seem like all signs are pointing towards this being the next production for the DCEU.
