ORIGINAL STORY:

If I had a nickel for every rumor related to an Obi-Wan project, I’d be living in a mansion in the Hollywood hills. This is a project that’s been rumored for years — ever since it became clear that Disney was looking to expand the Star Wars universe on-screen. It was one of the many rumored projects alongside Boba Fett, Solo, and Rogue One, and I even had one dedicated trickster send me a complete bogus screenplay, telling me it was the full script.

Though, in spite of the seeming lack of action over at Disney for an Obi-Wan Kenobi film, it now sounds like we could be seeing some traction, if a new rumor is to be believed. The folks over at Cinelinx are reporting that Ewan McGregor has signed on for a Disney+ show.

The outlet claims they have heard this from two separate sources, which sounds pretty promising. But, of course, as with all rumors, you need to take this all with a grain of salt. 

But, assuming it is real, it wouldn’t be the craziest thing in the world to think we could hear something coming out of D23 next weekend. If Disney were to announce some game-changing stuff, this would be the time. And given how much Lucasfilm is hurting for fans to side with them, it could be something to help turn things around.
