One batch. Two batch. Penny and dime. While the years Marvel spent on Netflix may be a bittersweet memory, there do seem to be some lingering aftereffects in the works. We’ve heard rumors recently surrounding Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter potentially returning as their respective heroes, which would be a great get for Marvel, but they aren’t the only ones.

We Got This Covered is reporting that there’s another beloved Marvel Netflix character could have a second life after the cancelations on the streaming service. The outlet states that actor Jon Bernthal may be returning as the one and only Frank Castle in an R-rated Punisher movie.

But that’s not all. Apparently, it could lead to a crossover with the likes of Moon Knight or Blade — or even both — and that they’d attempt to get him to join the Midnight Sons.

Is this an indication that Marvel Studios is willing to go R-rated with the right properties? That may be the most exciting part of this whole thing. It’s unclear if they plan to release this on their streaming services or theatrically, but I can assume these discussions are at the early stages, so we’ll have to wait and see.
