Maybe it’s just me, but I think it’s taking a crazy amount of time for Matt Reeves to get his act together on this new Batman film, which will likely not be called The Batman. It was quite some time ago when it was announced that Matt Reeves would be starting from scratch after Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns left their The Batman project.
It was quite recently we had heard that finally after the long wait, the movie was expected to start shooting by the end of this year. However, according to Variety‘s Justin Kroll, the shoot could be moved back to early 2020 as the script is still unfinished. Check it out.
Here's a small BATMAN update for you: hearing the script is still being polished up and that there's a possibility shooting begins at the top of 2020 instead of fall 2019. Which means it'll probably still be a minute before we find out who the next Caped Crusader will be

I can’t speak to the accuracy of the sources of course, but if true then I do feel like this has to be the best script ever written if it’s taking this long. Either Reeves works very slowly, or he is a damn perfectionist, and I’m hoping the latter, because that could mean we end up getting a really good Batman movie when all is said and done. And what more do we really want than another good Batman movie?

This could also delay the casting process, because of course, as yet, we have no idea other than the many rumors, who will be playing Bruce Wayne/Batman since the departure of Ben Affleck.
Stay tuned for any more information about the long gestating Matt Reeves Batman project as we find them and let us know your thoughts below as always.
