It seems like every day as I dig for news right now, we see a new statement from someone claiming when a trailer will arrive. So far it’s been on and off for two weeks now regarding the Avengers 4 trailer. With rumors that Spider-Man: Far From Home is also expected to arrive soon, you’d think that would be it for the year?
However, Collider‘s Steve Weintraub has gone on Twitter to announce that he thinks two other major movie trailers will be making their debut this month. Check it out.
to those wondering, December is ALWAYS a huge month for new trailers. If you're a Disney fan, you can look forward to the first footage from #Frozen2 and @starwars episode 9 this month. Would be shocked if both aren't revealed by December 25th. pic.twitter.com/mylWXs6vyq

Now I have to say, whilst I have no evidence to the contrary, I do find it hard to imagine that any kind of footage of Star Wars: Episode 9 would hit the web before the year is out. The movie isn’t due for release until December next year and as far as we can tell is still deep into principal photography.

Most of the footage shot for the movie I would have thought still in a ‘raw stage,’ as it were, and not ready to share, though that’s never stopped studios from showing off early footage at conventions. So long as you keep whipping the VFX studios, you can make select scenes look good in time, no problem. It could, of course, just be the title reveal and one or two images alone. Let’s face it, that’s enough of a reveal to get fans excited for when it comes to Star Wars.
I would still be surprised, but if it happens I won’t complain. As for Frozen 2, well it’s always harder to gauge how far along an animated movie is, so it could be in a more completed state than we anticipated. Frozen 2 is not due for release until November 22 next year, which like Star Wars, seems an awfully long time away for a trailer to hit now. Maybe another small teaser just to raise the hype levels is all we are talking here?
What do you think of this rumor, would you expect to see something from Disney’s winter slate next year showing up before the year is out? Share any thoughts you have in the usual place below.
