Warner Bros. seems to constantly be switching it up between waiting and sprinting. Several months back, we heard rumors that they were slowing things down to see how Justice League does. But since then, we’ve heard rumors and confirmation of many films, including the Harley Quinn and Joker film, and the Joker standalone.
San Diego Comic-Con also saw the reveal of Flashpoint. So after years of failed development on a standalone Flash film, we knew that they would be getting ambitious with a beloved story that involves many of the key players of the Justice League on some level. Well, it sounds like they may be pumping the breaks a bit.

While on Meet The Movie Press, Variety film reporter Justin Kroll said:
“I’ve heard they’ve slowed that [Flashpoint casting] search down to see how [Justice League] does, because I don’t know if they’re giving everyone their own movie now. Aquaman’s already shot, so we’ll see. Obviously, [Cyborg’s] not happening any time soon, neither is Man of Steel 2.”
So for the time being, Warner Bros. seems to, once again, be on hold with upcoming films — though given that we already know who’s playing Shazam, it doesn’t sound like it’s quite applying to all films. That being said, should Justice League make $10 million opening weekend (it won’t), you can bet they’ll be pulling the plug on all their films in the near future.
So again, we’ll have to wait and see.
