Today we have a rumor that up to nine Star Wars Disney+ shows are in development. The rumor comes from the folks over at Kessell Run Transmissions. I do keep an eye on what they are saying, because they are one of the outlets that corroborated our Hayden Christensen Star Wars story. The fact I know our source is genuine, enourages me to keep an eye and ear out for what they are saying.

Now, I have no idea about what numbers of shows Disney has planned in total. As always, take this information with a pinch of salt until we get more news. However, we can do some math based on the rumors we have heard so far. Firstly we can remove the announced shows. As Corey says above that means The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan, and Cassian Andor shows. That then leaves us with five possible shows still in development. So let’s speculate?
Recently we have heard rumor of a possible Crimson Dawn show being developed. There were also some rumors that Lando Calrissian could lead a new show. That would take us to six shows, with three left to find, and here is where my maths feels off.

Our own source at Lucasfilm told us about four Disney+ shows being developed. Those were, Ahsoka Lead show, Ezra/Thrawn show, Boba Fett, and an unnamed character. Now we could make this fit nicely by assuming that Lando Calrissian is that unnamed show. However, let me be clear, our source did not know the name of that show when they spoke to us. We also have a problem with the fact we know a show is coming from Leslye Headland, and the lead will be female. This could still work out though. Headland could be running the Ahoska lead show, or the Crimson Dawn show if it’s being led by Qi’ra?
Alas, we have no facts to give, just endless speculation and mental gymnastics. We here at LRM trust our source 100% or else we would not publish what we are told. Until our source tells us something has slipped off, or been replaced, I have to trust those four shows we were told about. However, it is possible that this will all check out and the crossovers I listed above are possible. Only time will tell, suffice to say, with all the rumors we are hearing, Star Wars is hitting Disney+ big time.
