Although we have a pretty hefty slate of Marvel Studios projects in front of us, it’s hard not to feel like we still don’t fully understand how this fourth Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will play out. One one hand, you have shows like WandaVision, and on the other, you have seemingly more traditional film takes such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In the past, Kevin Feige had stated that the Disney+ shows will weave into the films completely, but I’m not sure even we expected as much as what’s being rumored now.

Okay, so for starters, we know two things. One is that Scarlet Witch will be a lead in the odd-looking WandaVision series, and two is that she will also play a role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The latter point was revealed at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con when Elizabeth Olsen came out on stage.

But what will Scarlet Witch’s role be? The folks over at BGR have some loose-lipped sources, and according to them, WandaVision will apparently end with her going kinda nuts and ending up as a surprise villain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Given her track record, it’s not exactly unfeasible.

We’re talking about a woman who lost her family, then lost her brother, then lost her freedom in Civil War, experience a breakdown of her second family, and finally, lost the love of her life. If WandaVision is to play out as expected — with her having to go through the loss of her fake family all over again — then it only makes sense that she’d go a little bit crazy.

As far as how the confrontation in Doctor Strange 2 will go, we can only guess, but it sounds like it’ll be quite the hefty movie, as Loki will also supposedly connect in some way. What do you think of this latest rumor? Let us know your thoughts down below!
