According to a new rumor from Daniel Richtman on his Patreon service, there are major character deaths in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, of course, there are no details on who this could be at this time.
I’ve said before, that especially on his Patreon, I find Richtman’s rumors are usually just things he’s been sent anonymously. I.e. I never quite buy them, especially when it comes to Star Wars news. However, Richtman’s record so far with Spider-Man: No Way Home is pretty decent, so I’m inclined to perk my ears up when he talks Spidey. With there being no details around this, ones definition of major character could be tested. Who are the major characters of the Spider-Man franchise so far?
For me there are five characters I would consider major players in both Spider-Man movies. Peter, obviously, duh! However, I’d also add Ned, MJ, Aunt May and Happy Hogan to that mix. Flash has been a mainstay of the series so far, but never a major character yet. Therefore, for this rumor to qualify as legit, for me, we need to see one of those five die. Interestingly I saw a ‘leak’ for No Way Home recently which actually described two of these character’s deaths. Now, this was one of those anonymous 4Chan leaks, so usually they are BS. However, you never know, I’ve also seen major leaks appear on that site and yet no one knew before release. Anyway, this leaks said that both Ned and Aunt May were killed by the villain’s of the movie.
I can’t recall the rest of that leak because I didn’t think it worthy of remembering. Yet when I read this on Richtman’s Patreon I was immediately reminded of that summary. Chances are, this is pure coincidence, but it’s worth thinking about if Ned and Aunt May don’t make it through the movie this December? Do you think there will be deaths in Spider-Man: No Way Home? If so, who do you think gets a date with the grim reaper? As always, leave any thoughts below.
