Today we are sharing some rumored plot details for the new Star Wars: Starfighter movie filming now on our Barside Buzz. The information comes from the most recent The Hot Mic with John Rocha and Jeff Sneider. Now, whilst Sneider has been the man with info so far on this film, todays rumor actually comes from John Rocha.

Rocha isn’t as connected as Sneider, but do remember he was first to say Punisher and Hulk were in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, now confirmed. So, benefit of the doubt as far as I’m concerned. This also lines up with a couple of other little rumblings that I’ve come across, but as always, pinch of salt.

One of the earliest and most persistent rumors we had was that Ryan Gosling’s character would be an uncle escorting his nephew across the Galaxy whilst chased down by the villains. This was backed up when the first official set photos showed Gosling alongside co-star Flynn Gray. In other words, the uncle and nephew.

Well, Rocha has some information to add to this picture.

He has heard Amy Adams will play Gray’s mother/Gosling’s sister, is a Jedi and her son is also Force Sensitive, though Gosling’s character is not. Adams’ character sends her brother away with her son to escape, or go on some mission. The pair are then chased by the movies villains.

Now if the boy is a Force Sensitive, then the mission could be sending the boy to Rey. Remember, there were rumors Daisy Ridley may have a very minor part in this film. However, that remains to be seen. But sending her son to the only known Jedi to be trained and kept safe would make some sense.

This is pure speculation by me, I have no additional knowledge.

The villains as rumored so far as played by Matt Smith and Mia Goth. However, any of the other cast announced could also be on the bad guys side. We have no idea really and you are now up to date on all rumors around this film. Well, from reputable sources anyway.

My only red flag with the rumor above is the idea Amy Adams character is a Jedi. Not just ‘Force Sensitive’, but a Jedi. If so, where has she been, as this movie is set 3 years post-TROS? Maybe they explain this as a survivor from Luke’s previous attempt to bring back the Jedi Order? However, it’s in my head, so I’ll just say that doesn’t feel ‘correct’ to me, but we shall see.
