Rumored Runtime for Morbius And It's Another Short Movie

We have a rumored runtime for Morbius and it’s another short movie from Sony. According to insider Amit Chaudhari, who has come through on details like this before, Morbius runtime is only 1:44. That’s 104 minutes of which likely there’ll be 5-6 minutes of credits.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a really short movie for this day and age as well. I have not watched the Venom movie or it’s sequel yet for, reasons. However I do fancy giving Morbius a go. It’ll be interesting to see for myself whether this shorter runtime is working for Sony or not. Personally I find it a little strange and it kinda tells me there isn’t much plot to worry about in this movie. I guess we will find out soon enough. Morbius is set for release on April 1st. Let’s hope it’s no a fool of a movie, ha ha. You see April the 1st is…Anyway.

This is an unusual practice by Sony though, in a time when Superhero movies are getting bigger and bigger, Sony seem’s to be opting for lower budgets and a chance to make therefore more profits from smaller numbers. This is probably a very wise choice from a financial standpoint. However ultimately if the films don’t work, then it doesn’t matter whether they are shorter, people still won’t see them in numbers. I guess we await April the 1st to see whether Morbius works as a 104 minute movie? I’m still more interesting in Morbius than I ever was the Venom movies.

What do you think of this rumored runtime for Morbius. Are you worried this is another short movie? Or, do you think Sony is doing the right thing, was Venom: Let There Be Carnage good with an even shorter runtime or not? Thoughts below as always.
