Rumored Voice Cast For X-Men ’97 And Release Window

X-Men '97 gets a new head writer for Season 3 in Matthew Chauncey. Read on for more details on this latest news.

Today we are sharing the rumored voice cast for X-Men ’97 as well as the release window. This information is unofficial, but as you’ll see below, it seems legit. As you may, or may not be aware, X-Men ’97 is a continuation of X-Men: TAS, the popular 90’s cartoon. We knew some of the original voice cast were returning, but that there would also be some changes.

This latest report from Covered Geekly had the voice cast, release window, and short description. That short description has been debunked by none other than head writer Beau DeMayo. Yet, they never mentioned anything about the voice cast or release window details. In other words, we think this is solid information.

Let”s start with the release window. As you know X-Men ’97 was delayed alongside so many other Marvel projects and there will be more to come. However, we could have a possible date, or at least window for when we will see X-Men ’97.

The preregistration listing on the U.S. Copyright Office’s site also included the projected date of publication for episode 1 of the series, given as January 3rd, 2024.

The series was earlier listed to release in Fall 2023, which is now occupied by Loki Season 2 and Echo.

Moving on to the voice cast, here is what the outlet reports.

The cast of the series includes Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Christopher Britton as Mr. Sinister, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, and Gui Agustini as Roberto da Costa, aka Sunspot.

Some familiar names, mixed with a few new ones as we knew would happen after such a long time.

I loved this cartoon when it was aired in the 90’s. However, I am not sure it held up as well as I remembered looking back at it now on Disney+. Though, much of that is the old quality wasn’t great to begin with. With Disney funding this continuation, let’s hope it looks great as well.

Either way, I will definite watch the show when it hits Disney+, hopefully in early 2024 it seems.

What do you think of the rumored voice cast for X-Men ’97 as well as the release window? Thoughts below as always.
