The latest Barside Buzz has some rumors around Thunderbolts* characters Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker in the upcoming movie. The information comes from scooper Daniel RPK on his… Social media platform.
He explained that Antonia Dreykov (Taskmaster) will be experiencing memory issues after what she suffered. Keeping her head straight is a task that falls to Ghost, aka Ava Starr. The scooper says they form a friendship in the film as a result.
RPK also says that Starr’s mentor played but Laurence Fishburne in Ant-Man and the Wasp is mentioned in the movie but does not appear. Interestingly he also mentions that Rachel Weisz’s Melina Vostokoff isn’t even mentioned in the film. You’d think her name would pop up at least once between Yelenna and Red Guardian.
Finally, RPK says that John Walker’s wife has left him since the events in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Which is again surprising given how supportive of him she seemed in the show.

The information seems to track, and from what we’ve heard some test screenings did take place which perhaps Daniel is hearing about from sources? If nothing else it certainly cements the idea that this team is broken. Of course, we do expect them to come together as a team in the end of the film. Though surely that will be after initially being terrible together. That’s the formula I expect without knowing much about the plot anyway.
