This world isn’t short on rivalries. We’re human, and whenever possible, we draw lines in the sand and go at each other for the stupidest of reasons. One such stupid reason is the DC vs. Marvel debate. The two publishers have put out more superheroes than anyone can count, with many of them inspiring others from their rival. 

It’s a subject that’s ripe for adaptations…and that’s exactly what’s happening. Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo are acting as executive producers of Slugfest, which has been greenlit by Quibi.

Directing the project are Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce, who most recently put out the documentary Framing John DeLorean. AGBO CEO Todd Makuath is acting as producer, along with Peter Riveshl, Nick Gilhool, and Jen Casey.

The doc will be inspired by the book Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle Between Marvel and DC. Sounds epic. Also sounds like I have another book to add to my list of books to read. While the competition between the two publishers started back in the FDR years (per Deadline), it sounds like things really took off in the 1960s.
