Russos Say Recent Avengers Artwork Leak Is Not From Their Films

The Russos say that the recent Avengers artwork leak is not from their films at all in a recent interview.

The Russos say that the recent Avengers artwork leak is not from their films at all in a recent interview. If you recall some concept art was leaked from the likes of Fantastic Four: First Steps, but also what looked to be either Doomsday or Secret Wars.

However, it must be unused or from a previous version of the films, because the Russos say it’s not theirs.

Speaking with THR about many varied subjects the question of the concept art being a spoiler came up.

JOE:  “No, because that artwork was not from Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars.”

ANTHONY:  “Nothing spoiling in there. That’s not our concept art.”

I did say at the time I’d be surprised if this was not old, or not picked up artwork. I guess that does appear to be the case. The fact it had the Young Avengers being so prominent and we simply don’t have time for them, yet was a giveaway.

I do get the feeling that Marvel panicked before SDCC and went cap in hand to the Russos. They had the idea of RDJ as Doom and felt like they had a way to make both these movies, and so Marvel went ‘okay’. Thus the original plans of The Kang Dynasty and then Secret Wars was completely removed for this new story.

It’s also interesting to imagine that Doom probably showed up as the big bad of Secret Wars anyway. That’s if this was old concept art from Secret Wars, which I think it was. Just not the Secret Wars we are getting now.

Check out that concept art article Here by the way.

What do you think as the Russos say that the recent Avengers artwork leak is not from their films at all? Thoughts below as always.
