This Weekend’s Marvel Concept Art Reveals From Fantastic Four – Avengers: Doomsday/Secret Wars

The Russos say that the recent Avengers artwork leak is not from their films at all in a recent interview.

This past weekend’s Marvel concept art reveals from the likes of Fantastic Four and Avengers: Doomsday/Secret Wars have been the talk of the fandom. It was late (for me) Friday when artist Mushk Rizvi uploaded various concept art pieces to her website. Rizvi has indeed worked on Marvel projects before and as you’ll see, many seems to be from unreleased projects. Rizvi has now removed all the artwork from her website across the weekend. However, as you’d guess, there are loads of social media accounts now reporting it from saved images.

Check some of them out below. It’s clear some of these are for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which hits this Summer. However, most interest has been on the art for the upcoming Avengers movies. We have no idea whether this art is for Doomsday or Secret Wars. Some rumors are claiming Secret Wars, but who knows for now? It’s worth saying, we have no idea if any of this art will even be referenced in the films?

The images seem to show what folks are calling God Emperor Doom, as in the Secret Wars comics. We also see what looks like a medieval Hulk village and Starlord with some Young Avengers/Champions. Now it is worth noting we don’t think Champions will now happen until post-Secret Wars. Therefore, a lot of this could have changed.

The bottom left image has the most people talking. It looks like Redd being brought before Doom, who has Strange and Yelena as enforces and what appears to be Sue as his wife/companion with Franklin.

The above has similar images plus one of Black Panther and Vision/Starlord. Those below here are seemingly for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

This art does seem to match very much with the aesthetic we saw in the trailer for the film. However, this could also be the main reason the images have been taken down as they show Franklin. Rumors wise we know Franklin is a part of the plot, but Marvel are keeping him hidden officially for now.

This is not absolutley everything that was dropped online by Rizvi, but since the OG source is now gone, this is the best I could do. That’s what I get for having the weekend off work.

What do you think of the Marvel concept art reveals from the likes of Fantastic Four and Avengers: Doomsday/Secret Wars? Some fans think Marvel leaked these deliberately to build buzz after poor reviews for Brave New World, what do you think? Thoughts below.
