The world of politics is bloody unforgivable. That’s one thing House of Cards has taught us (oh yeah, and the real world). But what if we took that same cutthroat concept and applied it to a high school setting? I mean, yes, we’d get the movie Election, but another possibility is the new Netflix original series The Politician.

The Politician hails from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who are best known for co-creating the American Horror Story series. Also creating the show is Ian Brennan, who worked on the aforementioned series. Check out the trailer below:

The Politician will consist of eight hour-long episodes.
