Yesterday you may have read our coverage of the story about the fan who proved he pitched almost the exact idea for a PG-13 Deadpool movie as the one currently being used for the upcoming Once Upon a Deadpool. If not, feel free to catch up using the link below.

Now fan MVBramley has gone to Twitter again to let everyone know that Ryan Reynolds himself contacted him to discuss what appears to be a crazy coincidence. Check out his latest post below.
.@VancityReynolds and I had a brief talk and I believe he was as confused as I was. It seems like this may all just have been a big, insane coincidence and I'm happy to leave it at that. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie in December! #deadpool #onceuponadeadpool

Now, we talked about this a little in yesterdays article, but realistically there would not have been any real recourse for MVBramley to take here as it wasn’t that long ago that a federal judge ruled that celebrities aren’t legally liable if they end up making a project similar to an unsolicited social media pitch. However MVBramley went on to clarify that this was never his intention anyway.
Just a friendly reminder that I have no (never had any) intention of trying to sue Ryan Reynolds, Disney or any of its subsidiaries. I'm also not angry, I'm more amused/confused at this point. #deadpool #marvel #Disney #ryanreynolds #stopgivingmelegaladvice

He did however say in another Tweet that if Disney or Fox were willing to give him any free stuff for this, he would be more than happy to take it, which I guess is standard human nature.
I guess this serves as a lesson folks, if you have a really good idea for something movie wise, do not post it on social Media unless you have no issues with seeing it appear on screen one day. still, it kind of feels a bit icky, I remember as a kid I had an idea for how to turn Ghostbusters into a cartoon and a toy line, then it appeared as The Real Ghostbusters and I felt like someone was reading my mind. I never told anyone and there was no internet in those days, didn’t make me feel any better about it though.
We also regularly as writers for LRM discuss the things we’d like to see in sequels or upcoming movies, and we have no doubt that if we manage to hit the nail on the head it’s either pure fluke or great minds thinking alike. I choose to always believe the latter of course.
So what do you think of all this, do you suspect Reynolds offered MVBramley some free tickets to the movie or something to that effect or just apologized and moved on? Sound off in the usual place below as always.
