Ryan Reynolds Gives Small Update On Deadpool In The MCU

Ryan Reynolds gives small update on Deadpool in the MCU! Reynolds recently chatted with Collider alongside his director on The Adam Project Shawn Levy. The outlet asked Reynolds if he had spoken to Levy about the possibility of directing Deadpool 3 given that Levy hadn’t made a comic book movie before?

“We pretty much talk about everything, but I’ll say this about that particular subject is I’ll have a batch of updates on that sooner rather than later, I hope. So I’ll be able to get into stuff about Deadpool a little bit more clearly and definitively down the road.”

Since the initial Fox purchase by Disney fans have been assured Deadpool is still going to be in the universe going forward. However any actual hints of when a Deadpool 3 might happen have been non-existent. There are rumors, and a weird image on the poster, suggesting Reynolds may make his MCU debut within Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However that remains to be seen and for now Reynolds says no. Saying that, would we expect him to say yes, remember Andrew Garfield?

Obviously Deadpool 3 is coming, but the question remains whether Reynold’s Deadpool will show up first elsewhere? Given the current Multiversal nature of the MCU, it would make since for this to be the point where the old version of Deadpool comes through to a new home. However maybe that’s not Marvel’s plan with reintroducing this character? Marvel could decide to just drop in Deadpool 3 like he’s been in the MCU the whole time. With the meta nature of Deadpool, it could actually work.

Though, I’m not sure it’s the option I would choose were I in Marvel’s shoes.

What do you think of his comments as Ryan Reynolds gives small update on Deadpool in the MCU? As always, leave any thoughts below.
