It has just been under two weeks since the launch of Star Wars Squadrons and the gamers want more. Overall the Star Wars gaming community has been happy with the highly anticipated fighter game. Multiplayer continues to be its strong suit and more people are joining the online community just like Battlefront. Even the single player missions and story have gotten a good response from the community. But that doesn’t mean they are satisfied. While the price point for the game was a plus the lack of future downloadable content is depressing gamers. Some players are hoping that new content will be available at some point. One of those players is none other Sam Witwer aka Darth Maul.
Hey @EAStarWars ..!
Wanted to ask you nicely (and publicly) for more squadrons related content.. ! There! I said it!
Very happy with what you gave us for 40 bucks.

Just like a typical Sith Lord, Witwer wants more. Bu at least Mr. Witwer asked “nicely and publicly” for more squadrons content. Also check out the last part of his post asking if there would possibly be a sequel. To me that wouldn’t be a bad idea, maybe something during the First Order so we could fly Kylo Ren’s ship.

While it is awesome that Mr. Witwer has asked the question all of us want, it doesn’t look like it will happen. According to an interview at UploadVR the directors at EA have no plans to release any DLC for this game.
“Never say never, so to speak, but as far as our philosophy goes we’re not trying to treat the game as a live service,” says Ian Frazier, Creative Director on Star Wars: Squadrons. “We don’t want to say, ‘It’s almost done!’ and then dribble out more of it over time, which to be honest is how most games work these days. So we’ve tried to treat it in kind of an old-school approach saying, ‘You’ve paid the $40, this is the game and it’s entirely self-contained. We’re not planning to add more content, this is the game, and we hope you understand the value proposition.’”
