“I would love to finish the story of Samurai Jack. I feel like people are still kind of interested in it, and it’s nice that after all these years, people are still responding to it, like two generations down almost from it being on the air for the first time……. I know the conclusion in my head now. I’ve worked it out, and so I’m trying to find what the perfect vehicle for that is.”

That’s the message SAMURAI JACK creator Genndy Tartakovsky had for fans leading up to September’s announcement that the show was coming back. The one time staple of the Cartoon Network’s lineup in the early 00s is coming back, and it sounds like Tartakovsky wants to give the show’s cult following a fitting return, as well as a fitting departure.

The SAMURAI JACK revival has just released its first promo image, which you can see right here:

SAMURAI JACK will be back; He’ll be bloody; And he’ll be putting all kinds of demons, robots and aliens on notice when the series returns later this year.
