‘SAW 8’ Hires ‘SORORITY ROW’ Scribes To Carry On The Legacy

Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, the minds behind the 2009 horror flick SORORITY ROW, have been tapped by James Wan and Lionsgate to write SAW: LEGACY. This will be the eighth entry in the venerable SAW franchise, which had seemingly concluded with SAW 3D in 2010.

"The Final Chapter"? Nope!

“The Final Chapter”? Nope!

While the original seven films came out annually beginning in 2004 and “culminating” in 2010, this new SAW will be coming out after a seven year absence from theaters. As of now, it’s unknown whether the film will be some sort of continuation or if it’ll reboot the series. What is known is that Stolberg and Goldfinger have a reputation for creating unique kills, and for giving films like PIRANHA 3D an undercurrent of dark humor.

Series creators Wan and Leigh Whannell are staying on board as executive producers.
