Possible Spoilers Below
According to some new Barside Buzz, Scarlett Johansson is rumored to be playing… Poison Ivy, or a similar character in The Batman Part II. Now I will let you readers be the judge on the accuracy of this one, but let me first set the scene.
Last week we covered a new rumor from Jeff Sneider that a Poison Ivy series was in development. Sneider was the one who first revealed Sebastian Stan was playing Victor Zsaz and not Harvey Dent as was heavily rumored initially. You can check Sneider’s leaks in the related section below.
Set photo’s appear to confirm Stan wearing a bald cap, which backs this up. It’s also been said that Stan’s Zsaz is not the movie’s main villain, so who is?
Well a recent user post on Reddit sub r/DCULeaks that has mod approval (i.e. some evidence was offered) may suggest it’s ScarJo and that she could be playing the Poison Ivy that will be also getting her own series.

Now, this may not be the best source, as it’s anonymous and new. However, factor in that the post has now been removed from the subreddit, and exists now only in a captured image as you can see below. I read it when it first went live myself, but it was only when I went to find it again to cover the story I realised it was removed. So I found this best alternative, get your spectacles out.

Why was it removed? Was it because the mods discovered it was false, or because WB asked them to remove it?
If you don’t want to click for a better view. The important part is, they says ScarJo is playing a serial killer that uses toxins and has an obsession with plants. They figured this was a more realistic take on Poison Ivy.
They say her character is killing off Gotham’s elite, one of whom is Charles Dance’s character. It’s he who leads a secret organisation made of the city’s most powerful people. They say Batman initially believes Victor Zsasz is the killer before finding it’s actually ScarJo’s character.
To me it sounds like Poison Ivy taking down the Court of Owls mixed with ‘The Long Halloween’ where Batman is working through a list of rogues to find the killer.
Now, none of this is confirmed, but if Sneider is right, which he is more often than not, then it makes a lot of sense. I guess we’ll see if we get a takedown request from WB over this, but likely we’re not on their radar.
