Believe it or not, today is the 25th anniversary of Wes Craven’s Scream. Black in 1996, just in time for Christmas was the now slasher-horror feature film that has become such a classic. For any fan of the horror genre, the name Wes Craven is very well known as he brought us such franchises like Scream and The Nightmare on Elm Street. With the next chapter in the Scream franchise less than a month away, as well as a celebration of the original’s anniversary, Paramount Pictures has released a new featurette. In the For Wes featurette, we see the amount of love and respect that the cast and crew have for what Craven meant to them and the horror genre. At one point we even see that star David Arquette was getting emotional. The clip then makes the motion that this new Scream will be dedicated to Wes Craven for all that he did for the franchise.
