STAR TREK fans may already be whetting their appetites at the movie theaters this weekend with STAR TREK BEYOND, but diehard fans may be looking forward to the upcoming series even more, which is bound to be a more slow and meditative exercise in storytelling.
The series is entitled STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, and it is heading to the CBS All Access streaming platform next year (and Netflix for countries that aren’t the U.S. and Canada). Recently at Comic-Con, CBS released a first look teaser for the show. It’s nothing super special: just a series of shots for the titular U.S.S. Discovery. If nothing else, it’s a bold reminder that we’ll need to adjust our expectations in the visual effects realm to a TV level.
Check out the first look teaser below!
Personally, it’ll take a lot more than a few shots of a spaceship to get me excited about this one — especially since it’ll only be available to those using CBS All Access. But what do you think? Did this teaser do anything for you?
