Secret Invasion Finds Villain With Kingsley Ben-Adir

Secret Invasion is coming… eventually. While we still have five more Marvel Studios Disney+ shows coming this year, there’s a lot more cooking at Marvel. Secret Invasion, a well known series in Marvel Comics, is coming later in Phase 4.

We already know the two leads in the series are Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Talos the Skrull (Ben Mendelsohn). The pair met in 90s set Captain Marvel, which introduced the shapeshifting Skrulls. Though Captain Marvel introduced good, misunderstood Skrulls, Secret Invasion implies we’ll be meeting a lot with ill intentions.

Deadline reports that Kingsley Ben-Adir has been cast as a lead in the series. More specifically, a “big bad.” So, leader of the bad Skrulls that have been hiding in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for who knows how long? Maybe something worse?

I first saw Ben-Adir in his most recent, excellent film, One Night in Miami. No, I lied, it was The OA. Aside from that the actor has appeared in The Comey Rule as Barak Obama, Peaky Blinders, and High Fidelity.

It seems like every film and show in Phase 4 is already casting, hiring directors and writers, etc, so even if there is another pandemic, we will see no break in Marvel Studios content!

Speaking of which, don’t forget to check out The Falcon and the Winter Soldier this Friday on Disney+!
