Send It! Trailer Displays Stunts in Kiteboarding Tournament

Send It!

There are many narrative films about every water-based competition out there. Now Send It! brings a kiteboarding tournament to the forefront with someone vying for the top prize.

In this adventure and action film, Send It! stars Kevin Quinn, Claudia Lee, and Patrick Fabian with Denise Richards and Michael Jai White. Andrew Stevens (producer of The Boondock Saints and The Whole Nine Yards) directed the movie.

Here’s the synopsis:

When it comes to kite-boarding—the extreme water sport—Billy Johnson shreds. En route to the worldwide kiting championships, he picks up savvy sexy Sky, and as the wild, decadent festivities unfold, Sky teaches Billy to fight for his dreams. Ready for thrills? Don’t think about it. Send it!

The film highlights a live gig from 2 Chainz and stunts from real-world kiteboarding superstars. There’s even a surprise appearance from Richard Branson in the movie (what’s he doing here?).

Although, kiteboarding is probably not one those professional water sportspeople think of beyond, professional surfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and parasailing. But, there are kiteboarding tournaments across the nation.

With Send It!, it seems to be another typical “go for the gold” type of storyline with a backdrop of crazy beach parties that resembles the drunken parties of the Over the Line beach softball tournaments in San Diego. Take it as it is presented—just a family fun movie.

Send It! is available digitally and on DVD on May 11 from Lionsgate.
