Check out these new set photos from The Witcher Season 2.
The Witcher Season 2 filming may have halted due to COVID, but as of this writing, it’s been back in production for some time now. With that in mind, it makes sense that we’d be getting some set photos from production. The latest ones come courtesy of Redanian Intelligence, an outlet that has been on top of the series from day one.
These photos feature Ciri — this time sporting a brand-new costume. Of course, in Season 1, she spent most of her time running around in a cloak and set of wide trousers. While she could have done much worse in the practical department, she also could have done much better. Luckily, in Season 2, her costume change features clothes that allow her to move much more freely as well as a set of boots.

We also see some photos that feature two other women. One is a blond woman and the other is a redhead. Sources tell the outlet that the blond woman could be Lara Dorren, an elven sorceress and Ciri’s ancestor. Of course, this may or may not ultimately be true, but the outlet has been on top of things for some time now. So it wouldn’t surprise me.
Sadly, they couldn’t identify who the redhead could be, though they guess Cerro. Cerror is the Redanian queen and adopted mother of Riannon, Lara Dorren’s daughter. Again, it’s just a guess, but given the context, it does sound like an educated one.
Personally, I’m just interested to see where the story takes our heroes. The first season was structured so oddly. This time around, I expect to see the arcs more traditionally — especially for Ciri, whose timeline covered such a short period.
