Seth Rogen Done With James Franco Because Of Abuse Allegations

During an interview with The Sunday Times on May 9, Seth Rogen shared that he will no longer work with James Franco. Rogen is no longer comfortable due to sexual misconduct allegations against Franco. The two have been starring in movies together for years. Their first movie together was Knocked Up which was released in 2007. Rogen and Franco have done a total of 8 movies together, the last being The Disaster Artist released in 2017.

Seth Rogen will no longer work with James Franco

In the interview, Rogen said:

What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.

I also look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now.

Sadly, their time working together ends with 10 years, but I’m glad for Seth Rogen’s decision. He went with his gut and made the hard choice. Sometimes it takes a while for things to click. It’s hard to end a relationship with a friend. If that person doesn’t line up with your morals, it’s time to cut ties.

James Franco settled a lawsuit in 2019 alleging sexual misconduct to his acting school students. Franco denies the allegations. Franco’s attorneys called them ‘false and inflammatory, legally baseless and brought as a class action with the obvious goal of grabbing as much publicity as possible for attention-hungry Plaintiffs.’
