Check out the first full trailer for Severance Season 2 hitting Apple TV on January 17, it looks like it’s field trip time for the MDR team. Severance was a big hit for Apple TV and it was the first show they had which word of mouth made me want to subscribe short term to watch. Ergo, I didn’t catch the initial premiere and I am informed by fans to expect a two episode premiere on Apple TV on January 17, followed by a weekly release.
We’ve already had some small teasers, but below is the full trailer. Check it out.
This is the kind of series where I almost don’t want to watch the trailer. I’m already sold and I really want to experience the story as the creators intended. However, luckily I don’t think this spoils too much.
It is clear that the fake newspaper clipping above is being used to control the Innies in Season 2. Pretty smart, though less smart some of the fans online who were trying to work out how this could have happened between seasons in reality. It’s literally an image of Eisenhower when President with the regular Season 1 team photo badly super imposed. Come on people.

I won’t get into much else from the trailer. However, I am very intrigued by this field trip the MDR team goes on. Is that time spent outside work as Innies, or will the Outies have to be on the retreat also for the evening? I can’t wait to dig deeper into this mysterious show. My prediction for Season 2 given we clearly meet Helena Eagan is that she will become the villain. A counter if you will to Helly’s rebellious Innie.
January 17th can’t come quick enough. Well, given streamers usual release protocols it’s more likely going to be 18th before I can watch in the U.K. However, I do plan to review Severance for Season 2 since I was late and missed the chance to for it for Season 1. So watch for that come January 18th also.
