Sex Education Season 2 Trailer Teases The Second Coming

Real talk. Netflix has too many damn shows. More than anyone can ever watch, and even more than they can effectively market over the course of an average year. As such, I often find myself going in cold to most shows on the platform these days. Or at least semi-cold. I’d heard of Sex Education, seen the trailer, and was aware of the basic premise, but it didn’t really interest me a whole lot. And then, on a whim, I gave it a watch, in ran through the whole season incredibly quickly.

While it uses the premise of “sex education” as a way in, its focus on character, relationships, and sex-positivity are things that really resonated with me on a storytelling level. Now, we have another season to look forward to.

The last season of the show ended with our two leads Otis and Maeve not quite matching up at the end, in spite of how close it got. With this next season, it looks as though it’ll mostly be careening toward the rekindling of their relationship and reopening of the clinic, which I can get on board with.
