Shane West Shares What Attracted Him To La Usurpadora The Musical | Exclusive

The American actor, Shane West plays the “gringo” in the latest La Usurpadora, The Musical. Based on the 1998 telenovela La Usurpadora, it has been seen in 125 countries and translated to 24 languages.

The Synopsis

The film stars Isabella Castillo, (“El Señor de los Cielos”, Malverde: El Santo Patrón”) who plays identical twins Valeria and Victoria, and Alan Estrada (“¿Conoces a Tomás?”, “Día de Muertos”), who plays the male lead and romantic interest, Carlos Daniel. It’s a tale of two identical twin sisters separated at birth and unknown to each other, one poor, but truly decent, the other rich, conniving, and generally awful. A chance meeting brings them together in Las Vegas and soon their lives are hopelessly intertwined. Although things don’t go according to plan, in the end, Valeria (the good twin) and Carlos Daniel, who we have been rooting for, end up together and live happily ever after.

The actor from Louisiana, Shane West, was around music since his mother and father owned a punk band and the influence continued after they divorced. For a while West thought music would be a career. The actor’s mother relocated to the Los Angeles area, during West’s high school years he found acting. His acting debut was on a CBS fourth season of Picket Fences.
